Ceramic and Titanium Knives

Please read and abide by the rules for using ceramic and titanium knives:

  1. Before using for the first time, rinse the blades with hot water.
  2. For kitchen knives, use a cutting board made of wood or plastic only and do not use glass cutting boards.
  3. Ceramic and ceramic titanium knives are ideal for vegetables, fruits, bread, mushrooms, meat and fish fillets, soft meat delicacies.
  4. Do not use the knives for chopping products and do not cut frozen foods, products with bones, as well as hard cheeses and smoked sausage.
  5. Handle the knives with care: a sharp impact with a hard surface (kitchen tile, marble, etc.) may result in chipping or even splitting of the knife.
  6. Keep the knives in a special block, carton for knives, stand, etc. Make sure the blades of ceramic knives do not come into contact with metallic objects.
  7. Tiny chips on the cutting edge of SAMURA ceramic knives even in the first months of operation are permissible and by no means affect the cutting performance of the knives.

Question: Are ceramic and titanium knives dishwasher safe?

The less dishwashing, the better. We do not recommend using a dishwasher for cleaning Samura knives, including ceramic and titanium ones. Nevertheless, you can sometimes resort to it; just make sure that the blades do not come into contact with other dishes, otherwise they can sustain damage. The exception is the Samura Bamboo series.

Question: What happens if you drop a ceramic knife?

If you drop the knife accidentally, especially with the point down or, for example, to the tiled floor, it is highly likely that the knife will break. In addition, the knife can break from a strong impact or when cutting solid foods (hard cheese, salami, bones). Please read and observe the instructions for using the ceramic and titanium knives.
