The Japanese SD-0094 Damascus series Santoku is a knife with a very wide massive blade and a small handle. With its spine descended to the point and a forward-shifted center of gravity, this knife requires much less effort when shredding or cutting foods.
A number of oval notches above the cutting edge prevent foods from sticking to the blade.
The Japanese Santoku is multifunctional and suitable for processing vegetables, fish, greens, and allows you to perform easily a lot of different manipulations: from slicing to tenderizing the meat with the wide spine.
